New Economic Analysis: Proposed Perkins Ranch Airstrip Could Generate More Than $546,000 for Chino Valley
CHINO VALLEY, Ariz. — The YES on Proposition 410 campaign today released a new economic impact analysis showing that Phase I construction of the proposed Perkins Ranch airstrip is projected to generate approximately $546,300 in revenue for the Town of Chino Valley.
Prepared by Arizona-based Rounds Consulting Group, the analysis projects that the proposed airstrip would serve as the foundation for a phased aviation education project that could support 282 jobs annually, generate approximately $3.1 million in construction-related revenue, provide $113 million in planned long-term private investment, and about $100,900 in recurring annual revenue for the Town of Chino Valley. The report is based on a 20-year economic analysis of the planned project.
To put the Phase I estimate into perspective, the projected $546,300 in Town revenue is comparable in scale to major capital projects Chino Valley has recently completed, including improvements to Town facilities and the Senior Center. While the revenue would not be dedicated to any specific project, it would provide additional resources for future Town priorities.

It shows the proposed airstrip can preserve a working ranch while creating meaningful economic opportunities for our community."
Danny Perkins, chairman of the YES on Proposition 410 campaign, said the analysis demonstrates that the proposed airstrip represents more than a runway.
"The proposed airstrip is the first step," Perkins said. "It creates an opportunity for Chino Valley to grow responsibly over time while preserving Perkins Ranch and the rural character that makes our community special. This report shows what that opportunity could mean for jobs, private investment, and new revenue for the Town."
The proposed airstrip represents the first phase of a planned project designed to grow over time. Any future phases would continue through the Town's normal public review and approval process.
